My Personal Commitment to Being an Ethical Affiliate

As I’ve already mentioned elsewhere, being real and authentic is really important to me. I’m trying to be different from all the other sites on the internet. That includes being different from all the other affiliates out there.

Yes, I’m an affiliate. That means I get paid a small commission when you buy something I’ve recommended, after clicking on one of my links. And that’s all it means.

I only recommend products and services that I have direct experience with or use myself, and in the rare case that I make an exception to this rule, I’ll clearly call that out.

I would never recommend something solely because it pays a big commission. That would be the opposite of what I’ve indicated above. I recommend things because they’re awesome and I think you should try them out. I feel really good about this approach, from a perspective of wanting to be true to myself and doing the right thing.

If I was only about the commissions, then I would recommend Bluehost and Siteground, because they pay the highest to their affiliates. But I don’t, because they suck! I recommend what I consider in my experience to be the absolute cream of the crop, and if I can support myself financially while doing that, then I’m okay with that.

So this is my commitment to you, and to myself. I hope it resonates with you, and that you’re okay with it. If you’re not, then please know there’s no obligation to click on any of my links. If it makes you more comfortable, you’re more than welcome to just google the name of the company and find them that way.
